Jodie Simms. CNM.
Originally a native of Maine, Jodie has been living in the south since 2009. After graduating with a degree in Biology from Amherst College in 2009, she worked for a couple years doing public health work before going back to school to become a midwife. In 2014, she graduated from Emory University with her MSN, CNM and Family Nurse Practitioner degrees. Jodie loves being a midwife because of the relationships she is able to form with women and their families. She believes supporting women to take charge of their health, throughout pregnancy and beyond, has positive ripple effects on the health of their babies, their partners and the entire community. Outside of work, she spends time with her fiancé, Ian, and their dog, Juno. In addition to her passion for catching babies and women’s health, Jodie also enjoys exploring the outdoors, practicing hot yoga, doing modern dance, playing soccer and eating good food!
